Start Saving for a Super Savvy Summer of Fun

Press release   •   Jul 14, 2014 12:16 BST

Nectar - the UK’s largest loyalty programme - in partnership with Sainsbury’s, reveal that collectors will be able to enjoy fun-filled family days out for less this summer, with the Nectar Rewards Double Up & More event. From Wednesday 23 July to Tuesday 12 August, cardholders will be able to exchange their points for vouchers to spend at top restaurants and entertainment partners including SEA LIFE, Thorpe Park, Pizza Express, Go Ape and even swimming sessions at local pools.

To maximise these super-size value points, collectors should start saving points now to make the most of the first three weeks of the school summer holidays, whether it be tucking in at Pizza Express or meeting a celebrity idol at Madame Tussauds.

Nectar customers simply have to decide how they would like to spend their points, before visiting their nearest Sainsbury’s Supermarket to exchange their points for a voucher worth double, triple and in some cases quadruple the usual Nectar points value. Typically, 1,000 points are worth at least £5 when redeeming with Nectar partners, but during this event, collectors will be able to redeem 1,000 points for £10 off at Pizza Express, SEA LIFE and The Dungeons and £15 off at Go Ape and other local days out.

Even better, some Merlin Entertainment venues, including Thorpe Park and Warwick Castle, already offer double value on Nectar points, so customers will be able to enjoy four times the value of their Nectar points at these attractions during this three week event, meaning 1,000 points will be worth £20 off.

Also, Nectar cardholders can enjoy four free swims instead of only one, at a variety of local pools, when using 500 Nectar points during this event.

Will Shuckburgh, Nectar Managing Director said: “The summer holidays can be an expensive time for families especially when keeping the kids entertained. That’s why we’re always seeking new ways to offer Nectar cardholders great value and with Double Up & More we’re doing just that. We hope that our collectors start saving up their points now so they can take advantage of these fun family days out.”

To turn Nectar points into Double Up & More vouchers for great days out this summer, simply register a Nectar card to redeem online or pop into a local Sainsbury’s.
